Blade Runner 2049 review – a gigantic spectacle of pure hallucinatory craziness I agree with what "Peter Bradshaw" has to say about Blade runner 2049 and I think his review on the movie is well thought out. This scene begins with several jump cuts and close-ups of different aspects on the screen as for example the first close up we see a driver placing his hand on the steering wheel then quickly jump cuts to the speedometer on one of the cars as the car is being revved, indicating to all of the viewers a race may take place and the use of quick jump cuts make us the viewer waiting in anticipation for it to begin. The reason for frequent jump cuts and close-ups is to make us the viewer on edge as we the viewer have to always be looking at the screen to make sure we don't miss anything and this is especially done well by the use of action and enigma codes, as we see several quick movements and several hints that it will be race thanks to the frequent enigma codes such as the tyres spinning but the car not moving the use of the map leading a route for them to follow. Another part of Mis-En-Scene is used very effectively and that is the use of sound as the use of diegetic sound of the e
