Media Awards Review

Click
In my opinion, "Click" was the overall best film at the media awards and was the film which could be adapted into a feature film and outperform it's competitors in the box office. I really enjoyed "Click" due to the different camera shots, leading to different effects, as well as the editing. A clear example of this is when the protagonist finds out about his powers and he pauses time for the first time and looks at the cup of coffee. This shot clearly displayed his frustration and amazement at what he can do. An example of the editing is literally a couple seconds after this when the camera cuts from him on the ground, looking at the cup, to kicking it out of anger, reinforcing his frustration and aggravation. Also, the way it was shot is purely breathtaking as the actors within the short film had to remain so still that you didn't realise that they were actually breathing and that this effect wasn't achieved in post production.

Voice of The Void

Another one of the best films out of media awards was Voice of The Void. This film was about a robbery which contained interesting scenes an concept where one of the main protagonists eventually betrayed his allies. This twist in the story made me and the audience much more intrigued in the film as their alliance breaks and they start to trust each other less. The editing in this film was also done very professionally and the transitions between the scenes and shots where done very well.

Approval

I think that "Approval" was a very good film because it it allowed the audience to feel exactly what the character is feeling which was, what is it like to have a best friend who you always are with and then suddenly one of them gets in to a violent situation. In my opinion I think that the cinematography was very good in this film because when the girl got kidnapped it only showed the girls face when she was walking and then suddenly someones hand comes from behind and covers her mouth which suddenly creates tension with in the audience. Also camera would zoom in and out showing the surroundings and the setting so the audience knows where each scene takes place. Also the camera zoomed on different characters showing us the importance of each character in the individual scene.
